Warren Muzak
A true renaissance man, Warren Muzak is the definition of a multi-media artist. He is a performing songwriter, graphic designer, layout artist, photographer, sculptor and illustrator whose creativity is fuelled by incorporating many mediums to fulfill his overall artistic vision.
Warren is a graduate of the Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technologies Graphic Design program. As a freelance commercial artist he has created branding for small independent businesses, created graphics and layouts for web pages and has developed artwork for commercial promotional materials.
For Warren, each artistic medium fuels and inspires the works of the next in a living, breathing cycle of creation. His fascination with how art can connect lives together through stories, generations and cultures inspires him to create, in multiple forms, the folk art of today’s modern age. In his introduction to textile art, Warren saw the opportunity to marry his art with an applied and practical connection to people’s lives. This media allows the art to be central in people’s living environment, where elements of lifestyle connect the art to them.
As a songwriter his musical passion took him from a blue collar steel town in Southern Ontario, Canada, to a quieter farming community where he and his wife, also a singer-songwriter, find happiness pursuing music together as a critically acclaimed touring act called Two Twenty Two. Life on the road is exhausting but Warren is able to find his creative centre and balance both at home and while touring.
Warren’s pieces truly reflect the real world. The gritty, down to earth truth of the North America he has seen and the lives we all live here.
