ABOUT ME |
Hi! I'm Warren Muzak
|
An Ontario, Canada–based illustrator specializing in horror and sci-fi imagery. I’m a seasoned, self-taught professional, and over the years I’ve created artwork for numerous horror and science fiction anthologies, building a reputation as a visual storyteller who brings mood, movement, and emotion to every piece.
I draw inspiration from legendary artists like Bernie Wrightson, Wally Wood, Jack Davis, and Arthur Rackham, as well as classic horror publications such as Creepy, Eerie, and 1950s EC comics like Tales from the Crypt. My work blends that vintage atmosphere with a dynamic, contemporary energy. I’ve sold my work to and been commissioned by multiple publishers of horror anthologies and fantasy novels, including Darkholme Publishing (UK), JayHenge Publishing, Last Girls Club, Hiraeth Publishing, Pnemubric Spec Fiction Magazine, James Maxey, Dug Up Magazine, and Dark Moon Rising Publications, among others. Whether I’m working in pen and ink, watercolor, and pencil, or digitally with a WACOM Cintiq and Krita, I aim to seamlessly combine traditional craftsmanship with modern digital techniques. When I’m not at my drawing table, I’m usually out biking, hunting for vintage comics or expanding my collection of classic Lionel trains. |
